Deputy Joanna Tuffy asked the Minister for Health the total amount of expenditure on consultancy by his Department; the number of consultants engaged by his Department, in the years 2011 to 2014; the names of the consultancy companies awarded contracts; and the steps which have been taken to reduce the expenditure on consultancy, and the reliance on consultants by his Department, in these years, and for the future. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Department's total expenditure in the A7 subhead consultancy for the years requested since 2011 is as per the following tables. It is the policy in my Department only to engage the services of external consultants where it is felt to be appropriate and cost-effective, taking account of Government decisions and policy on the matter.
