Ceisteanna (33)

Thomas Pringle

Ceist:

33. Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality if an application by a prisoner in the United Kingdom to complete a sentence in Ireland in order to be close to extended family requires that the person have a valid personal public service number in the State; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that there is no obligation on an applicant to produce a valid personal public service number when applying under the Transfer of Sentenced Persons Acts 1995 & 1997 to serve their sentence here.
