Ceist:

85. I wish to advise the Deputy that the Courts Service has informed me that no attachment orders have been made since the commencement of the Fines (Payment and Recovery) Act 2014 on 11 January 2016. The Act provides for alternatives to imprisonment for non-payment of fines. The process to support payment of fines by instalment commenced earlier this year and other elements of the process including attachment of earnings will take effect sequentially.
