278. Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the amount which was provided for under the capital plan for the fisheries harbour centre; the amount which has been spent; the progress made to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18758/17]
Amharc ar fhreagraOn 5 February, I announced details of the 2017 Fishery Harbour and Coastal Infrastructure Development Programme. I have approved funding of €28m for the Programme this year, with €2.8m allocated for the 2017 Local Authority Harbour Development and Marine Leisure Programme.
As a significant number of the projects at the six Fishery Harbour Centres are currently at the planning and/or procurement phase, with others just commencing works, it is too early to offer definitive expenditure information at this point.
