Deputy Marc MacSharry asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the location of the site for the new Garda headquarters (details supplied) in County Sligo; if it has been procured; the status of the project; the timeframe for planning, construction and completion; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Office of Public Works continues to progress the procurement of a suitable site for the new Garda station. As the negotiations are not yet complete, the location of the site cannot be disclosed at this stage.

The construction of this Garda station is to be undertaken as part of a larger PPP bundle.
