Deputy Seán Haughey asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government his plans to introduce legislation to ensure that health authorities intervene with householders when private sewage pipes attached to private houses are blocked, in view of the fact that this issue is not adequately dealt with in the Water Services Act 2007; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
