508. Deputy Timmy Dooley asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment if the reduction of the intervention area for the national broadband plan by 300,000 homes will lead to savings to the Exchequer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5667/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Map for the National Broadband Plan procurement process was fixed in April of last year and includes c 540,000 premises and c 21% of Ireland's population. The level of subsidy required to bring high speed broadband services to citizens and businesses in the NBP State intervention area will be determined through the public procurement process.
