Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if his Department has investigated an alternative drug testing device for roadside testing to address the fact the current device does not function at temperatures below four degrees; if his attention and the attention of An Garda Síochána was drawn to this issue when the contracts for supply of these devices was awarded; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
