Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if his attention has been drawn to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine’s decision on 25 January 2018 to report potential allegations of criminality regarding the foal levy to An Garda Síochána; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Horse Racing Ireland is a commercial state body responsible for the overall administration, promotion and development of the horse racing industry.

As the Deputy refers to potential allegations of criminality which are to be reported to the Garda, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further on this issue.
