589. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the amount of public service obligation, PSO, subvention paid to Irish Rail, Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann in 2017, in tabular form. [7373/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraSince 2010, Public Service Obligation (PSO) subvention is no longer paid by my Department to transport operators. The award and subvention of PSO contracts now falls under the independent statutory remit of the National Transport Authority (NTA), which has direct responsibility for this area along with the routes covered. I have therefore forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
