208. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the progress to date in the determination of an appeal for a disability allowance by a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9006/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThis lady submitted an application for disability allowance on 23 August 2017. The application, based upon the evidence submitted, was refused on medical grounds and this lady was notified in writing of this decision on 23 October 2017. She was also notified the reason for it and of the option to submit further medical evidence in support of her application for review and of her right to appeal the decision to the Social Welfare Appeals Office (SWAO).
To date no request for an appeal or review has been received from this lady.
