Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the newspapers her Department officials have engaged with in promoting or explaining Government business in her Department; when these meetings took place; if they are held on a regular basis; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department would engage on a daily basis with journalists working for newspapers and other media outlets, for example, in relation to answering queries from them and issuing press releases. Officials of my Department would not otherwise engage with newspapers. On occasion, I would engage in press briefings attended by a range of media outlets and I have also given interviews to same.
