502. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of fines issued by the revenue protection unit of the Luas operator in the past three years; the number of these fines that were appealed; the number of successful appeals; the way in which the funds collected from fines are used by the company; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The issue raised is a matter for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) in conjunction with Transdev and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the TII for direct reply.  Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
