Deputy Jack Chambers asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the detail of the sale of all lands owned by the Defence Forces in each of the past five years; the location of the lands; the amount received; the date the sale occurred; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraSince 1998 my Department has been engaged on an ongoing programme of barracks consolidation and the property portfolio is under continual review. This has resulted in the disposal of a range of properties that were identified as surplus to military requirements. The properties outlined in the following table are those that have been disposed of over the last five years yielding a total of approximately €15 million.
