630. Deputy John Brassil asked the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if signs will be erected throughout Killarney National Park to better inform visitors of the way to protect themselves from tick bites; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22220/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraTicks are widespread in the countryside and in areas of rough vegetation and forestry and are not confined only to National Parks or Nature Reserves. Ticks can be found on a variety of domesticated and wild animals including sheep, goats, horses, cattle, dogs, deer and various wild mammal species.
