The Government decided on 15 March 2011 that, with the exception of the Taoiseach, Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality who continued to retain their State cars and Garda drivers, the travel arrangements then in place for Ministers of State would apply to all Ministers.  The new travel regime for Ministers took effect from 1 May 2011.  Since then no ministerial cars have been provided to Ministers in my Department from the Garda fleet.
