206. Deputy Kathleen Funchion asked the Minister for Education and Skills the way in which capitation grants are calculated; and the rates for primary and post-primary schools. [26739/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe two main grants paid by my Department to recognised schools are the Capitation grant to cater for day to day running costs such as heating, lighting, cleaning, insurance, general up-keep etc and the Ancillary Services grant to cater for the cost of employing ancillary services staff.
The enrolment in the individual schools is the main driver of grants paid.
