Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question No. 96 of 31 May 2018, the number of times contact has been made with a school (details supplied) to date in 2018; the details of the correspondence or discussions with the school to resolve the outstanding issues relating to the provision of a new building for the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy is aware, projects for the schools referred to are included in my Department's 6 year Capital Programme.
In light of site issues arising my Department is in contact with the Patron for the schools in question. It is understood that the Patron met with the Local Authority to discuss the site issues arising on 30th April last. In this regard, clarification was sought from the Patron, and a response is awaited by my Department in respect of its most recent written communication in the matter issued towards the end of May.
