Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the status of an action (details supplied) under the Action Plan for Rural Development; if the timeline for delivery has been met; if not, the revised timeline; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is currently drafting a guidance note on Enterprise Development in Rural Areas under the National Planning Framework and the Action Plan for Rural Development. The guidance is intended to address the relevant planning and development consent considerations and requirements in respect of the promotion and accommodation of enterprise development in rural areas, with the aim of providing clear guidance and ensuring sustainable rural communities.
The drafting of the guidance document is progressing, with publication envisaged shortly.
