Deputy Bríd Smith asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment the source and amount of biomass that Bord na Móna will import to co-fire the affected power stations that use peat production; the plans Bord na Móna has to source biomass in the period ahead to replace its ceased peat production; and the studies carried out on the projected CO2 emissions of this sourced biomass.
