Deputy Niall Collins asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade the number of public sector staff from his Department seconded to work in the public sector in other EU member states; the schemes available for such secondments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraWhile we have seconded individual members of staff to other EU member states’ public sectors in the past, I can confirm that no officer of my Department is currently seconded to the public sector of any other EU Member State.
I can also confirm that there are currently no formal schemes in place in my Department for the secondment of officers to the public sector of any other EU Member State.
