175. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the timeframe for mandatory retirement in the public service (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [53382/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Public Service Superannuation (Age of Retirement) Bill 2018 passed all stages in the Seanad on 17 July. It passed Committee Stage in the Dail on 11 December and is scheduled for Report and Final Stages in the Dáil on 18 and 19 December. The Bill is scheduled to be re-committed to the Seanad on 20 December to consider amendments to the Bill that were agreed in the Dáil.
Subject to its successful passage through both Houses of the Oireachtas, the Bill will then be presented to the President for signature.
