596. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs if she has had engagement with Tusla regarding its funding of an organisation (details supplied) in the past two years; if her attention has been drawn to instances in which Tusla has delayed or ceased funding the organisation as a result of a dispute regarding a demand by Tusla to have client data transferred to it from the organisation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that I have not had any engagement with Tusla, the Child and Family Agency in regard to funding of the organisation referred to by the Deputy over the past two years.

Tusla ceased funding the organisation referred to in 2015 and has taken on direct responsibility for the development and maintenance of a database of information recorded on behalf of relevant services.
