424. Deputy Aindrias Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of sheep welfare scheme payments that are outstanding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [53497/18]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs of the 18th of December 2018, a total of 18,661 valid and eligible applications have been received for year 2 of the Sheep Welfare Scheme, of which 18,607 have received payment. It should be noted that the number of valid applications may vary slightly over time as applicants respond to queries raised by my Department in relation to their eligibility etc. Work is ongoing in relation to resolving queries on outstanding cases.
