306. Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Education and Skills if an application for funding by a school (details supplied) will be processed in order to allow the service to commence in September 2019 in view of the fact that there are no autism spectrum disorder, ASD, units in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to confirm to by Deputy that the school referred submitted an application in December for additional accommodation for the provision of a two class Special Educational Needs bases.

The application is being considered and a decision will be conveyed to the school authority as soon as the assessment process has been completed.
