914. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to address the pricing comparisons between companies (details supplied) and the times for the flights; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1003/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn the context of the common rules for the operation of air services in the EU, regulation 1008/2008 Article 22(1) provides that air carriers shall freely set air fares and air rates for intra-Community air services. The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport has no function in respect to the setting of air fares or the schedules of air services which are wholly commercial matters for the airlines.
