74. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Health when community midwifery support will be rolled out for women giving birth in the days immediately following birth once they are discharged from hospital. [5342/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe National Maternity Strategy proposes the development of a community midwifery service where hospital midwives, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, provide antenatal and postnatal care in the community. Implementation of the Strategy is being led by the National Women & Infants Health Programme.
