647. Deputy Imelda Munster asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the plans in train to provide new social welfare services for the mid County Louth area; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11632/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Department of Employment Affairs seeks to provide comprehensive income and employment support services to residents in County Louth, though our Intreo Centres in Dundalk and Drogheda, and the Branch Office in Ardee. Some concern has been expressed about the future delivery of community welfare services in Ardee following the retirement of the community welfare officer. I canassure the public that arrangements have been made to ensure the continuation of the service.
