250. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport when he expects the main construction work to commence at the Dunkettle interchange in Cork; the expected duration of the works; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14367/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for overall policy and funding in relation to the national roads programme. Under the Roads Acts 1993-2015, the planning, design and construction of individual national roads, including the M8/N40/N25 Dunkettle Interchange, is a matter for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.
