1485. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of young persons under 26 years of age in receipt of disability allowance at the end of each of the years 2013 to 2018, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Disability Allowance (DA) is a weekly allowance for people with a disability aged between 16 and 66 with a disability expected to last for at least one year and who satisfy the medical condition, means test and are habitually resident in Ireland. 

The number of persons under 26 years of age in receipt of DA at the end of the years 2013 to 2018 are outlined in the table following:
