308. Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Education and Skills if a school (details supplied) under construction and near completion will include an autism spectrum disorder, ASD, unit or a special needs unit; and if not, the reason therefore. [19013/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that the project to which she refers is currently in construction stage and subject to no issues arising the school should be ready for occupation in September 2019. The project does not include the provision of Special Educational Needs Base as it would not have been feasible on the site without a reduction in the number of mainstream classrooms for the new school.
