102. Deputy Robert Troy asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the plans being prepared to recruit additional Army personnel should they be necessary to patrol additional Border posts in a post-Brexit scenario. [21387/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Government is committed to a PDF strength of 9,500 personnel in order to undertake the roles set out in the White Paper on Defence (2015). The recruitment campaign for the Defence Forces has set a target to recruit some 800 personnel in 2019.
