200. Deputy Peter Fitzpatrick asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of persons employed by the Defence Forces in receipt of the working family payment. [24606/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraWorking Family Payment (WFP) is an in-work weekly payment which provides additional income support to employees on low earnings with children. WFP is designed to prevent in-work poverty for low paid workers with child dependants and to offer a financial incentive to take up employment.
The numbers of Defence Force employees in receipt of WFP are as follows:
