Deputy Bobby Aylward asked the Minister for Health if he will consider the possibility of extending the availability of the flash glucose monitoring technology, FreeStyle Libre, to all persons with type 1 diabetes; if the possibility of requesting the HSE to undertake a review of the cost effectiveness of this technology and survey current users on the impact it has had on their daily life experience and social interactions will be investigated; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
