Deputy Martin Heydon asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection if a review of an invalidity pension claim by a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be expedited in view of their illness benefit ceasing in August 2019; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe lady referred to has been awarded invalidity pension with effect from 20 December 2018. Payment will issue to her nominated bank account on 25 July 2019. Any arrears due from 20 December 2018 to 24 July 2019 (less any overlapping social welfare payment) will issue in due course. The lady in question was notified of this decision on 08 July 2019.
I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
