Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment further to Parliamentary Question No. 571 of 2 July 2019, if the further information submitted by Eir in relation to the provision of broadband nationally has been analysed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraFurther to the Question No. 571 of 2 July 2019, I can confirm that my Department and its NBP advisers are in the process of concluding their analysis of the information provided by eir and will revert to me shortly in that regard. I would note that my Department appeared before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Communications, Climate Action and Environment on 3 July and comprehensively addressed question posed by Oireachtas members at that meeting in relation to the correspondence from eir to which the Deputy refers.
