Deputy Eamon Scanlon asked the Minister for Finance his plans to address concerns that VRT will be increased in budget 2020; his views on the fact that the last major upheaval of VRT cost the motor industry tens of thousands of jobs and saw more than 150 long-standing family businesses close; his further views as to whether sudden taxation changes will cost jobs and slow down the drive to reduce emissions from transport; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
