Deputy John Lahart asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there has never been specialist provision for deaf children despite research showing their increased risk in respect of mental health issues; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As these are service matters I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond directly to the Deputy as soon as possible.
