Amharc ar fhreagraIt is my understanding that this case concerns the application of charges for services received under the EHIC scheme. The person concerned, as is normal practice in situations where a person presents for necessary treatment while on a temporary stay without an EHIC, is advised to contact the competent institution in their Member State of Affiliation regarding the reimbursement of the charges incurred.
Separately, it is my understanding that an application for a medical card was made but remains incomplete. The person concerned is advised to engage with the HSE to seek to complete their application. However, it important to note that Medical card eligibility is not applied retrospectively.
