121. Deputy Michael Harty asked the Minister for Health the status of the construction and commissioning of the 60 bed modular unit at University Hospital Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39099/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Health Service Executive is responsible for the delivery of public healthcare infrastructure projects and has advised that the enabling works for the modular unit have been completed and the main construction contractor is due to commence work on site this week. The construction is anticipated to be completed in mid 2020. The equipping and commissioning of the unit will be carried out once the construction has been completed.
