Deputy Willie O'Dea asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection when a decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) for a disability allowance qualified adult pertaining to the spouse of the applicant; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned has been awarded an increase for a qualified adult (IQA) on their disability allowance (DA) with effect from 3 April 2019. The first payment will be made by his chosen payment method on 9 October 2019.
Arrears of payment due will issue as soon as possible once any necessary adjustment is calculated and applied in respect of any overlapping payments (if applicable).
