Ceist:

470. The working group on transposition and enforcement of  Directive (EU) 2019/633 on Unfair Trading Practices in business-to-business relationships in the agricultural and food supply chain (UTP Directive) was set up in April this year and has met seven times to date.

I launched a public stakeholder consultation on the transposition of the UTP Directive on Friday 18 October last, with a closing date for submissions of 13 December 2019. The consultation document can be found on my Department's website at the following address: www.agriculture.gov.ie/customerservice/publicconsultations/.

The launch of this public consultation fulfils one of my Department’s commitments under the Beef Sector Agreement of 15 September and I urge all interested groups and individuals to contribute to the public consultation.
