444. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment when all sections of the Minerals Development Act 2017 will be commenced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [46153/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is working on the development of Regulations in order to commence the Mineral Development Act 2017. Regulations to commence Part 2 of the Act relating to Prospecting are at an advanced stage of drafting. This is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. Following on from that the Regulations to commence the remaining Part of the Act will be completed.
