62. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Education and Skills his views on whether the best interests of the students of a school (details supplied) are being best served by their accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [47387/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe school referred to by the Deputy was allocated a devolved grant for prefabricated accommodation in October 2018 under my Department Additional Accommodation Scheme which will enable the school authority deliver 5 x Mainstream Classrooms, En-suite Toilets, Shower Area & Staff Toilets, Multi-sensory room, 3 x Small Safe Places, Storage, Staff Room & Office/Administration Room to meet the short to medium term accommodation needs of school and pupils concerned.
I understand that the project is currently going through architectural planning and that a planning application has been submitted to the relevant local authority.
