79. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Education and Skills if he will meet with a delegation of parents and board of management of a school (details supplied) to discuss the short, medium and long-term plans for the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [47384/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe school referred to by the Deputy was allocated a devolved grant for prefabricated accommodation in October 2018 under my Department Additional Accommodation Scheme which will enable the school authority deliver 5 x Mainstream Classrooms, En-suite Toilets, Shower Area & Staff Toilets, Multi-sensory room, 3 x Small Safe Places, Storage, Staff Room & Office/Administration Room to meet the short to medium term accommodation needs of school and pupils concerned. The school is not included in my Department's current school building programme for a permanent building.
I understand that the project is currently going through architectural planning and that a planning application has been submitted to the relevant local authority.
