Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Education and Skills the amount spent on public relations, promotion and advertising for the National Development Plan 2018-2027 and Project Ireland 2040 since its publication in February 2018 by category (details supplied) in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. On September 14th 2018, An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar T.D., the Minister for Education and Skills Richard Bruton T.D., the Minister of State for Higher Education Mary Mitchell O’Connor T.D. and the Minister of State for Training, Skills, Innovation, Research and Development John Halligan T.D announced a major package of investment in education under Project Ireland 2040, the government’s €116 billion investment and development plan for the next decade.

A launch event for this announcement took place in Coláiste Ghlór na Mara, Balbriggan. The costs for this launch are set out in the following table.
