683. Deputy Tom Neville asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the status of a respite care grant in respect of persons (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [52752/19]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Carer’s Support Grant is an annual payment made to full-time carers.
The person concerned has been awarded 2019 Grants in respect of both persons being cared for. The person has also been awarded the 2018 Grant in respect of one person.
The Grant is paid at a rate of €1,700 in respect of each person being cared for, and a total amount of €5,100 will lodge to her nominated bank account on Thursday 19th December 2019. Written notification of this award was issued to her on 11th December 2019.
