1128. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the actions she has taken to comply with the Data Protection Commissioner regarding public services cards in view of the fact that the commissioner has lodged an enforcement notice; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department has filed an appeal against the Enforcement Notice within the timeframe provided to do so.  As the matter is now before the Courts, it would be inappropriate to make any further comment.

I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
