Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the top ten websites visited by officials and political staff annually in each of the years 2017 to 2019 and to date in 2020 via hardware provided to them by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Internet access is provided to officials on Departmental devices in accordance with the Department Appropriate Usage Policy and Internet Content Filtering Policy. Access is blocked to specific sites through our firewalls and my Department undertakes periodic reviews to ensure that the list of blocked sites and categories of sites can be updated as necessary. Following a review of data available, it is not possible to provide the information requested as the data is not recorded in a format that enables this.
