145. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will address a matter regarding a river that is blocked and eroding land in County Kerry (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6351/20]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Office of Public Works (OPW) is responsible for the maintenance of Arterial Drainage Schemes and catchment drainage schemes designated under the Arterial Drainage Acts of 1945 and 1995. The channel referred to does not form part of an Arterial Drainage Scheme. Therefore, the OPW has no responsibilities for the maintenance of the channel, nor the authority to carry out any works there.
